Individual Leases

Individual leasing means peace of mind for you! Your financial responsibility is only for your space unlike many apartments or rental houses where a Joint Lease is signed. If a roommate transfers to another school or moves out of The Domain at Tempe for any reason, you do not have to worry about having to cover their portion of rent. This is just another reason why The Domain at Tempe is your best housing option!

On-site Professional Staff

The Domain at Tempe has a full Resident Assistant friendly staff that lives on-site and is able to assist residents 7 days a week. Residents can come to the leasing office to fill out maintenance requests for their apartment, pick up packages, or get assistance with any questions or concerns they may have from our on-site managers. Our maintenance team responds to service requests quickly and professionally including providing 24 hour emergency maintenance so that your comfort is not affected.

Affordable Floor Plans

The Domain at Tempe offers four spacious, fully furnished floor plan options of 2, 3, or 4 bedroom suites allowing your student to choose which one will best meet their needs. Each room has its own bathroom. Each bedroom is individually locked. Rent includes Cable, all utilities, high-speed Ethernet and WIFI, and access to our amazing on-site amenities.

Fully Furnished

The Domain, a fully-furnished community, saves you money! Each student will have a full-sized bed, desk, night stand, and 4 drawer dressers in their bedroom. The living area will have a sofa and oversized tub chair, coffee table, end table and entertainment stand complete with a 42” Flat Screen TV . Depending on their floor plan, their kitchen may have a 3 or 4 Bar Stools for your dining convenience.

Don’t have a roommate in mind? Don’t worry we can find one for you with our roommate matching process! Based on the roommate matching profile form each student completes, we will do our best to match your son or daughter with the best suited roommates.

Resident Events to Keep Students Involved

While the main focus will be about graduating and advancing in the business world, Residents will also have fun along the way! At The Domain at Tempe, strives to create life-long relationships and connections that will help them become even more successful in their future endeavors. Our friendly Community Assistant staff plans monthly resident events to get them involved. These events range from pizza day or ice cream socials gatherings to BBQs and tournaments. The Domain at Tempe knows the importance of making our residents feel at home within our community and kick off the New Year each year with Resident Appreciation Week. Our monthly newsletter, along with text and email blasts, keeps residents up to date on important news within our complex as well as smart living tips.

FAQs

What does it mean to have an individual lease?

Individual leasing means that each person is only responsible for their portion of the rent, lease or bed space. If your roommate ends up not coming back for the spring semester, you’re not responsible for their payment. You are only responsible for your room.

What is included in the rent?

The Domain at Tempe rent includes a list of amenities. Your rent will include: Cable, high-speed Ethernet and WIFI access, all utilities such as water and electric, fully furnished units, full sized washer and dryer, use of our tanning facilities, 24-Hour access to the Fitness Room, and other onsite amenities such as the computer lab, not to mention a wonderful staff that is there to help you 7 days a week/ 24hrs a day!

Do you have a roommate matching system?

Yes we can help! If you do not have anyone in mind, don’t worry! We can match you with residents currently living here or new lease holders. Each individual completes a Roommate Matching Profile Sheet that lets us know more about what you seek in a roommate. We will do our best to match you with your ideal roommate!

When is my rent due?

Rent is due the 1st of every month. There is a 5 day grace period in which no late fees occur. On the 6th day we assess a $25 late fee and continue to assess $5 each day until the rent is paid.

How do I pay my rent?

There are several ways that you can pay your rent. You can:

Pay with a personal check, money order, or cashier’s check.
Pay with a credit card online through Rent Payment. “Fees Apply”
Pay with a check online through our Resident Portal. “No Fees”
Have your rent automatically deducted from your bank account each month.

Do you allow pets?

Contact the office for details some restrictions apply.

Is there insurance coverage in the event of a fire, theft or natural causes? Does my lease provide coverage for my belongings?

The Domain’s insurance will not cover your personal belongings. We suggest getting renter’s insurance for this reason. It is generally inexpensive and will cover your personal belongings if something were to happen.

What if I need to break my lease or don't return for the spring semester?

The Domain’s lease is a binding contract and cannot be broken. If you cannot live at The Domain after signing your lease, you will need to find someone to take over your lease or re-let your unit. Please call the leasing office for information on re-letting.

What if I need Maintenance in my bedroom or apartment?

If you need maintenance, simply go to our website and fill out a maintenance request. You can also call or stop by the leasing office. If it is an emergency during office hours, please notify the front desk immediately. Otherwise, you may call the after-hours emergency maintenance number.

What furniture is provided?

The Domain at Tempe is fully furnished with a full-sized bed, a 4 drawer dresser, night stand, and a desk for each resident in their bedroom. The living area may have a sofa and love seat, coffee table, end table, entertainment stand and a 42” TV. Depending on their floor plan, their kitchen may 3 or 4 bar stools at the counter.

How do I receive mail and packages?

Your mail will be delivered to your apartment’s mailbox. If you have a package that doesn’t fit in the mailbox, you will get a package slip in your mailbox that your package is in the leasing office. You will need a photo ID to pick it up.

How close are you to campus?

We are less than a mile from Arizona State University and about 5 miles from Mesa Community College campus. We are conveniently located right across from the Phoenix Light rail system which takes you right to ASU’s campus as well as downtown Phoenix. We also have bike racks at The Domain if you choose to bring your bike.

What type of parking is available at your community?

We offer one (1) parking pass per resident at The Domain for monthly payments of $30. There are more than enough parking spots for our residents, so you won’t have to worry about having to walk far to get to your car. In addition to Resident parking, The Domain offers visitor parking areas as well.

What do I need to bring to my new apartment?

Here are just a few we suggest that you bring:

Bedding (recommend Extra-long full size sheets w/mattress cover).
Toiletries.
Everything you’ll need for your classes.
An alarm clock.
Decorations to make your new room feel like home!

What is a Community Assistant?

A Community Assistant (C.A.) is typically a college student that is there to help you! They are our leasing consultants as well as friendly office staff to help you with whatever you need.

What type of events do you have at The Domain?

We plan monthly resident events that may range from pizza day or ice cream socials to pool events or tournaments or meet and greet at our newly opened on site restaurant PJ’s Grill. The Domain knows the importance of making our residents feel at home within our community and kick off the New Year each year with Resident Appreciation Week. During the warmer months residents enjoy our cookouts by the pool with music or sometimes a live DJ. We have our annual spring carnival to show residents how much we care and have enjoyed them living with us.

How does your laundry system work?

At The Domain every unit comes with a full size washer and dryer. You will never have to collect coins again or run out in bad weather to get your laundry done! Residents can do it in the comfort of their own home.
